Yunus - Surah 10
109 verses
And when they had thrown, Moses said, "hat you have brought is sorcery. Indeed, GOD will nullify it. Indeed, GOD does not amend the work of the corrupters.
And (Fa) when (Lammaa) they had thrown (Al'qaw'), Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala), "hat (Maa) you have brought (Ji'tum Bihi) is sorcery (Es'Sih'ru). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) will nullify it (Sa Yub'tilu-hu). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) amend (Yus'lihu) the work (Ämala) of the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin).
And GOD will enforce the truth with HIS words, even if the criminals dislike it."
And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) will enforce (Yuhiqqu) the truth (El'Haqqa) with (Bi) HIS words (Kalimaati-hi), even if (Walaw') the criminals (El'Muj'rimuun) dislike it (Kariha)."
But none believed Moses, except the progeny of his people, from fear of Pharaoh and their assembly that he will torment them. For indeed, Pharaoh was haughty in the land, and indeed, he was of the profligates.
But (Fa) none (Maa) believed (Aamana Li) Moses (Muusaa), except (illa) the progeny (Zurriyyatun) of (Min) his people (Qaw'mi-hi), from (Älaa) fear (Khaw'fin) of (Min) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) and (Wa) their assembly (Malai'him') that (An) he (Pharaoh) will torment them (Yaf'tina-hum'). For (Wa) indeed (Inna), Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) was (La) haughty (Äälin) in the land (Fiil' Ar'di), and indeed, he (Innahu) was of (Lamina) the profligates (El'Mus'rifiin).
And Moses said, "O my people, if you have believed in GOD, then rely on HIM, if you should be submitters."
And (Wa) Moses (Muusa) said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), if (In) you have (Kuntum') believed (Aamantum) in GOD (Billahi), then (Fa) rely (Tawakkaluu') on HIM (Älai'hi), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) submitters (Mus'limiin)."
So they said, "We rely on GOD. Our LORD, do not render us as a trial for the transgressing people.
So (Fa) they said (Qaalu'), "We rely (Tawakkal'naa) on GOD (Älaallahi). Our LORD (Rabba-naa), do not (Laa) render us (Taj'äl'naa) as a trial (Fit'natan) for (Lil') the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (Qaw'mi).
"And rescue us by YOUR mercy, from the disbelieving people."
"And (Wa) rescue us (Najji-naa) by (Bi) YOUR mercy (Rah'mati-ka), from (Mina) the disbelieving (El'Kaafiriin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."
And We inspired to Moses and his brother that, "Accommodate your people in the houses of Egypt and render your houses a place of worship and establish the Litany and give good news to the believers."
And (Wa) We inspired (Aw'hai'naa) to (ilaa) Moses (Muusa) and his brother (Akhii-hi) that (An), "Accommodate (Tabawwa'a Li) your people (Qaw'mi-kumaa) in (Bi) the houses (Buyuutan) of Egypt (Mis'ra) and render (Ej'älu') your houses (Buyuuta-kum') a place of worship (2:144) (Qib'latan) and (Wa) establish (Aqiimu') the Litany (Es'Solaata) and (Wa) give good news (Basshiri) to the believers (El'Mu'miniin)."
And Moses said, "Our LORD, indeed YOU have given Pharaoh and his assembly adornment and wealth in the worldly life, our LORD, for they have deviated from YOUR way. Our LORD, obliterate their wealth and tighten their hearts so that they will not believe until they see the painful punishment."
And (Wa) Moses (Muusaa) said (Qaala), "Our LORD (Rabba-naa), indeed YOU (Innaka) have given (Aatai'ta) Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) and (Wa) his assembly (Mala'a-hu) adornment (Ziinatan) and wealth (Am'waalan) in (Fii) the worldly (Ed'Dun'yaa) life (El'Hayaati), our LORD (Rabba-naa), for (Li) they have deviated (Yudillu') from (Än) YOUR way (Sabiili-ka). Our LORD (Rabba-naa), obliterate (Et'mis' Älaa) their wealth (Am'waali-hiim') and tighten (Esh'dud' Älaa) their hearts (Quluubi-him') so that (Fa) they will not (Laa) believe (Yu'minu') until (Hattaa) they see (Yarawu') the painful (El'Aliim) punishment (El'Äzaaba)."
HE said, "Your invocation has been answered, so remain upright and do not follow the way of those who do not know."
HE (God) said (Qaala), "Your invocation (Da'watu-kumaa) has been (Qad') answered (Ujiibat), so (Fa) remain upright (Es'taqiimaa) and do not (Walaa) follow (Tattabiäänni) the way (Sabiila) of those who (Ellaziina) do not (Laa) know (Ya'lamuun)."
So We made the Children of Israel pass through the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in oppression and antagonism until, when drowning overtook him, he said, "I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel have believed, and I am of the submitters."
So (Wa) We made the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) pass through (-Jaawaz'naa Bi) the sea (El'Bah'ra), and (Fa) Pharaoh (Fir'äaw'nu) and (Wa) his soldiers (Junuudu-hu) pursued them (At'baä-hum') in oppression (Bag'yan) and antagonism (Äd'wan) until (Hattaa), when (Izaa) drowning (El'Garaqu) overtook him (Ad'raka-hu), he (Pharaoh) said (Qaala), "I believe (Aamantu) that (Annahu) there is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) the One (Ellazii) in whom (Bihi) the Children of Israel (Banuu' Is'raa'iila) have believed (Aamanat'), and (Wa) I am (Ana') of (Mina) the submitters (El'Mus'limiin)." (4:18)
Now!? While you had disobeyed before and you were of the corrupters?
Now (Aal'aana)!? While (Wa) you (Pharaoh) had (Qad') disobeyed (Äsoi'ta) before (Qab'lu) and (Wa) you were (Kunta) of (Mina) the corrupters (El'Muf'sidiin)?
So today We will save you by your body so that you may be a sign for whoever comes after you. And indeed, many of the people are heedless of Our signs.
So (Fa) today (El'Yaw'ma) We will save you (Pharaoh) (Nunajjii-ka) by (Bi) your body (Badani-ka) so that (Li) you may be (Takuuna) a sign (Aayatan) for whoever (Liman') comes after you (Khal'fa-ka). And (Wa) indeed (Inna), many (Kathiiran) of (Mina) the people (En'Naasi) are (La) heedless (Gaafiluun) of (Än') Our signs (Aayaati-naa).
And We have certainly accommodated the Children of Israel in a sincere accommodation and provided them with good things; but they did not dispute until the knowledge came to them. Indeed, your LORD will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning what they have been disputing.
And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') accommodated (Bawwa'naa) the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila) in a sincere (Sid'qin) accommodation (Mubawwa'a) and (Wa) provided them (Razaq'naa-hum) with (Mina) good things (Ettoyyibaati); but (Fa) they did not (Maa) dispute (Ekh'talafu') until (Hattaa) the knowledge (El' il'mu) came to them (Jaa'a-humu). Indeed (Inna), your LORD (s) (Rabba-ka) will judge (Yaq'dii) between them (Bai'nahum') on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati) concerning what (Fiimaa) they have been (Kaanu') disputing (Yakh'talifuun Fiihi).
So if you are in doubt of what We have revealed to you, then ask those who read the Book before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your LORD, so do not be of the doubters,
So (Fa) if (In) you are in (Fii) doubt (Shakkin) of what (Mimmaa) We have revealed (Anzal'naa) to you (s) (ilai'ka), then ask (Fas'ali) those who (Ellaziina) read (Yaq'rauuna) the Book (El'Kitaaba) before you (s) (Min Qab'li-ka). The truth (3:60) (El'Haqqu) has certainly (Laqad') come to you (s) (Jaa'a-ka) from (Min) your LORD (Rabbi-ka), so do not (Falaa) be (Takuunanna) of (Mina) the doubters (El'Mum'tariin),
nor shall you be among those who deny the verses of GOD, then you would be among the losers.
nor (Walaa) shall you (s) be (Takuunanna) among (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) deny (Kazzabu' Bi) the verses of GOD (Aayaati-llahi), then (Fa) you would be (Takuuna) among (Mina) the losers (El'Khaasiriin).
Indeed, those on whom the word of your LORD has been imposed will not believe,
Indeed (Inna), those (Ellaziina) on whom (Älai'him') the word (Kalimatu) of your LORD (Rabbi-ka) has been imposed (Haqqat') will not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuun),
even if every sign should come to them, until they see the painful punishment.
even if (Walaw') every (Kullu) sign (miracle) (Aayatin) should come to them (Jaa'at'hum'), until (Hattaa) they see (Yaraw') the painful (El'Aliim) punishment (El'Äzaaba).
So has there not been a town who believed and its faith benefited it if not the people of Jonah*? When they believed, We removed the punishment of humiliation from them in the worldly life and made them enjoy for a time.
So (Fa) has there not (Law'laa) been (-Kaanat') a town (Qar'yatun) who believed (Aamanat') and (Fa) its faith (iimaanu-haa) benefited it (Nafaä-haa) if not (illa) the people (Qaw'ma) of Jonah (Yuunusa)*? When (Lammaa) they believed (Aamanu'), We removed (Kashaf'naa) the punishment (Äzaaba) of humiliation (disgrace) (El'Khiz'yi) from them (Än'hum') in (Fii) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati) and (Wa) made them enjoy (Matta'naa-hum') for (ilaa) a time (Hiin).
And if your LORD had willed, whoever is on earth would have believed; all of them entirely. So would you compel the people until they become believers?
And (Wa) if (Law') your LORD (Rabbu-ka) had willed (Shaa'a), whoever (Man) is on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) would have (La) believed (Aamana); all of them (Kulluhum') entirely (Jamiiään). So would you (s) (Afa'anta) compel (2:256) (Tuk'rihu) the people (En'Naasa) until (Hattaa) they become (Yakuunu') believers (Mu'miniin)?
And it is not for a soul to believe except by the permission of GOD. For HE places filth upon those who do not reason.
And (Wa) it is (Kaana) not (Maa) for (Li) a soul (Naf'sin) to (An) believe (Tu'mina) except (illa) by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi). For (Wa) HE places (Yaj'älu) filth (Er'Rij'sa) upon (Älaa) those who (Ellaziina) do not (Laa) reason (Ya'qiluun). (67:10)
