Al-'Ankabut - Surah 29
69 verses
The example of those who take guardians besides GOD is like the example of a spider who has taken a house. Indeed, the weakest of houses is the house of the spider*; if only they knew.
The example (Mathalu) of those who (Ellaziina) take (Ettakhazu') guardians (Aw'liyaa'a) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi) is like (Ka) the example (Mathali) of a spider (f) (El'Änkabuuti) who has taken (Ettakhazat') a house (Bai'tan). Indeed (Inna), the weakest (Aw'hana) of houses (El'Buyuuti) is (La) the house (Bai'tu) of the spider (El'Änkabuuti)*; if only (Law' Kaanu') they knew (Ya'lamuun).
Indeed, GOD knows whatever they invoke besides HIM. For HE is the ALMIGHTY, the WISE.
Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) knows (Ya'lamu) whatever (Maa Min Shai'in) they invoke (Yad'uuna) besides HIM (Min Duuni-hi). For (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the ALMIGHTY (El' Äziizu), the WISE (El' Hakiim).
And these are the examples which We cite for the people, but none understands them except the knowledgeable.
And (Wa) these (Til'ka) are the examples (El'Am'thaalu) which We cite (Nad'ribu-haa) for the people (Lin' Naasi), but (Wa) none (Maa) understands them (Ya'qilu-haa) except (illa) the knowledgeable (El'Äälimuun).
GOD created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed, there is a sign in that for the believers.
GOD (Ellahu) created (Khalaqa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'da) in truth (Bil' Haqqi). Indeed (Inna), there is (La) a sign (Aayatan) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin).
Recite what has been inspired to you of the Book and establish the Litany. Indeed, the Litany restrains obscenity and abomination, but the remembrance of GOD is greater. And GOD knows whatever you do.
Recite (Et'lu) what (Maa) has been inspired (Uuhiya) to you (s) (ilai'ka) of (Mina) the Book (El'Kitaabi) and (Wa) establish (Aqimi) the Litany (Es'Solaata). Indeed (Inna), the Litany (Es'Solaata) restrains (Tan'haa Äni) obscenity (El'Fah'shaai) and abomination (Wal' Mun'kar), but (Wa) the (La) remembrance of GOD (13:28) (Zik'ru-llahi) is greater (Ak'baru). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) knows (Ya'lamu) whatever (Maa) you do (Tas'nauun).
And do not argue with the People of the Book except by that which is best, except those who transgress among them, and say, "We believe in what has been revealed to us and revealed to you, our god and your god is One; and we are submitters to HIM."
And (Wa) do not (Laa) argue with (Tujaadiluu') the People of the Book (Ah'lal' Kitaabi) except (illa) by that which (Billatii) is (Hiya) best (Ah'sanu), except (illa) those who (Ellaziina) transgress (Zolamu') among them (Min'hum'), and (Wa) say (Quuluu'), "We believe (Aamannaa) in what (Billazii) has been revealed (Unzila) to us (ilai'naa) and revealed (Unzila) to you (ilai'kum'), our god (ilaahu-naa) and your god (ilaahu-kum') is One (Waahidun); and we (Nah'nu) are submitters (3:64) (Mus'limuun) to HIM (Lahu)."
And thus have We revealed the Book to you, and those to whom We gave the Book believe in it. And among these are those who believe in it, but none rejects Our verses except the disbelievers.
And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) have We revealed (Anzal'naa) the Book (El'Kitaaba) to you (s) (ilai'ka), and (Fa) those (Ellaziina) to whom We gave (Aatai'naa-humu) the Book (El'Kitaaba) believe (Yu'minuuna) in it (Bihi). And among (Wamin') these (Haaulaai) are those who (Man) believe (Yu'minu) in it (Bihi), but (Wa) none (Maa) rejects (Yaj'hadu Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) except (illa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiruun).
And you did not recite any book before it, nor did you inscribe such with your right hand. Then the falsifiers would have had suspicion.
And (Wa) you (s) did (Kunta) not (Maa) recite (Tat'lu') any (Min) book (Kitaabin) before it (Min Qab'li-hi), nor (Walaa) did you inscribe such (Takhuttu-hu) with (Bi) your right hand (Yamiini-ka). Then (Izan) the falsifiers (El'Mub'tiluun) would have had (La) suspicion (Er'taaba).
In fact, its verses are proofs in the bosoms of those who have been given the knowledge, but none rejects Our verses except the transgressors.
In fact (Bal'), its (Huwa) verses (Aayaatu) are proofs (Bayyinaatun) in (Fii) the bosoms (Suduuri) of those who (Ellaziina) have been given (Uutu') the knowledge (El' il'ma), but (Wa) none (Maa) rejects (Yaj'hadu Bi) Our verses (Aayaati-naa) except (illa) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimuun).
And they say, "Why are signs not revealed to him from his LORD?"Say, "The signs are only by GOD, and I am only a clear warner."
And (Wa) they say (Qaalu'), "Why (Law') are signs (Aayaatun) not (Laa) revealed (Unzila) to him (Älai'hi) from (Min) his LORD (Rabbi-hi)?" Say (Qul'), "The signs (El'Aayaatu) are only (Innamaa) by GOD (Endallahi), and (Wa) I am (Ana') only (Innamaa) a clear (Mubiin) warner (Naziirun)."
Or is it not sufficient for them that We have revealed the Book to you being recited to them? Indeed, there is mercy and remembrance in that for people who believe.
Or is it not (Awalam') sufficient for them (Yak'fi-him’) that (Annaa) We have revealed (Anzal'naa) the Book (El'Kitaaba) to you (s) (Älai'ka) being recited (Yut'laa) to them (Älai'him')? Indeed (Inna), there is (La) mercy (Rah'matan) and (Wa) remembrance (Zik'raa) in (Fii) that (Zaalika) for (Li) people (Qaw'min) who believe (Yu'minuun).
Say:"Sufficient is GOD as a Witness between me and you. HE knows whatever is in the heavens and the earth. As for those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in GOD; they are those who are the losers."
Say (Qul'): "Sufficient is GOD (Kafaa Billahi) as a Witness (Shahiidan) between me and you (p) (Bai'na-nii Wa Bai'na-kum'). HE knows (Ya'lamu) whatever (Maa) is in (Fii) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di). As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) believe (Aamanu') in falsehood (Bil' Baatili) and disbelieve (Kafaru') in GOD (Billahi); they (Humu) are those who (U'laaika) are the losers (El'Khaasiruun)."
And they ask you to hasten with the punishment. And if not for the fixed term, the punishment would have come to them, but it will come to them surprisingly while they do not perceive.
And (Wa) they ask you (s) to hasten (Yas'ta'jiluunaka) with the punishment (Bil' Äzaabi). And (Wa) if not for (Law' Laa) the fixed (Musammaa) term (Ajalun), the punishment (El'Äzaabu) would have (La) come to them (Jaa'a-humu), but (Wa) it will (La) come to them (Ya'tiyanna-hum) surprisingly (Bag'tatan) while (Wa) they (Hum') do not (Laa) perceive (Yash'uruun).
They ask you to hasten with the punishment. Indeed, Hell shall encompass the disbelievers.
They ask you (s) to hasten (Yas'ta'jiluunaka) with the punishment (Bil' Äzaabi). Indeed (Inna), Hell (Jahannama) shall (La) encompass (Muhiitotu Bi) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).
It is the day the punishment will cover them; from above them and from beneath their legs, and it will be said, "Taste what you have done."
It is the day (Yaw'ma) the punishment (El'Äzaabu) will cover them (Yag'shaa-humu); from above them (Min Faw'qi-him') and (Wa) from beneath (Min Tah'ti) their legs (Ar'juli-him'), and it will be said (Yaquulu), "Taste (Zuuqu') what (Maa) you have (Kuntum') done (Ta'maluun)."
“O MY servants, who have believed, indeed MY earth is spacious, and I AM, so worship ME.”
“O (Yaa) MY servants (Ebaadiya), who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), indeed (Inna) MY earth (Ar'dii) is spacious (Waasiätun), and (Fa) I AM (Iyyaaya), so (Fa) worship ME (E'buduuni).”
Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will be returned.
Every (Kullu) soul (Nad'sin) will taste (Zaaiqatu) death (21:35) (El'Maw'ti), then (Thumma) to Us (ilai'naa) you will be returned (Tur'jauun).
As for those who have believed and done good deeds; We will accommodate them with chambers of the Garden beneath which rivers flow, eternally therein; such a wonderful reward for the workers,
As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanu') and (Wa) done (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati); We will (La) accommodate them with (Nubawwianna-hum) chambers (Gurafan) of (Mina) the Garden (El'Jannati) beneath which (Tah'tihaa) rivers (El'An'haaru) flow (Taj'rii), eternally (Khaalidiina) therein (Fiihaa); such a wonderful (Ni'ma) reward (Aj'ru) for the workers (El'Äämiliin),
who were patient and relied on their LORD.
who (Ellaziina) were patient (Sobaru') and (Wa) relied on (Yatawakkaluun Älaa) their LORD (Rabbi-him').
And how many a creature does not carry its sustenance; GOD provides for it and for you. And HE is the HEARER, the OMNISCIENT.
And (Wa) how many (Ka'ayyun) a (Min) creature (Daabbatin) does not (Laa) carry (Tah'milu) its sustenance (Riz'qa-haa); GOD (Ellahu) provides for it (Yar'zuqu-haa) and for you (Iyyaakum'). And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the HEARER (Es' Samiiu), the OMNISCIENT (El' Äliim).
