2:81 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

In fact, whoever earns a sin while his misdeed has encompassed him, then those will be the companions of the Fire; they will be therein eternally.

In fact (Balaa), whoever (Man) earns (Kasaba) a sin (Sayyiatan) while (Wa) his misdeed (Khatiiatu-hu) has encompassed him (Ahaatot' Bi-hi), then (Fa) those (U'laaika) will be the companions (As'haabu) of the Fire (En'Naari); they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).

2:82 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

As for those who believed and did good deeds, those are the companions of the Garden; they will be therein eternally.

As for (Wa) those who (Ellaziina) believed (Aamanu') and (Wa) did (Ämilu') good deeds (Es'Soalihaati), those (U'laaika) are the companions (As'haabu) of the Garden (El'Jannati); they (Hum') will be therein (Fiiha) eternally (Khaaliduun).

2:83 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when We took a covenant with the Children of Israel, "Do not worship except GOD; and be good to the parents, the relatives, the orphans and the poor people. And say what is best to the people and establish the Litany and give the Charity."But you turned away except a few of you, and you were avoiding.

And (Wa) when (Iz') We took (Akhaz'naa) a covenant (Miithaaqa) with the Children of Israel (Banii Is'raa'iila), "Do not (Laa) worship (Ta'buduuna) except (illa) GOD (Ellahu); and (Wa) be good (Ih'saanan) to the parents (Bil' Waalidai'ni), the relatives (Ziil' Qur'baa), the orphans (El'Yataamaa) and the poor people (Wal' Masaakiini). And (Wa) say (Quuluu') what is best (Hus'nan) to the people (Lin' Naasi) and (Wa) establish (Aqiimu') the Litany (Es'Solaata) and give (Aatu') the Charity (Ez'Zakaata)." But (Thumma) you turned away (Tawallai'tum') except (illa) a few (Qaliilan) of you (Minkum'), and (Wa) you (Antum) were avoiding (Mu'riduun).

2:84 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when We took a covenant, "Do not shed your blood, nor shall you expel yourselves from your homes."Then you accepted while you were witnessing.

And (Wa) when (Iz') We took (Akhaz'naa) a covenant (Miithaaqa-kum'), "Do not (Laa) shed (Tas'fikuuna) your blood (each other) (Dimaa'a-kum'), nor (Walaa) shall you expel (Tukhrijuuna) yourselves (each other) (Anfusa-kum) from (Min) your homes (Diyaari-kum')." Then (Thumma) you accepted (Aq'rar'tum') while (Wa) you (Antum') were witnessing (Tash'haduun).

2:85 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Yet, you are those killing yourselves and expelling a group of you from their homes, assisting against them in sin and aggression. And whenever they come to you as captives you ransom them, while their expulsion was forbidden to you. Do you then believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in part? Then what is the requital of those who do that among you if not disgrace in the worldly life. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will be returned to the severest of punishment. For GOD is not heedless of what you do.

Yet (Thumma), you (Antum') are those (Haaulaai) killing (Taq'tuluuna) yourselves (each other) (Anfusa-kum') and (Wa) expelling (Tukh'rijuuna) a group (Fariiqan) of you (Minkum) from (Min) their homes (Diyaari-him'), assisting (Tazoaharuuna) against them (Älai'him) in sin (Bil' Ith'mi) and aggression (Wal' Ud'waani). And (Wa) whenever (In) they come to you (p) (Ya'tuu-kum') as captives (Usaaraa) you ransom them (Tufaaduu-hum'), while (Wa) their expulsion (Ikh'raaju-hum') was (Huwa) forbidden (Muharramun) to you (Älai'kum'). Do you then (Afa-) believe (-tu'minuuna) in (Bi) part (Ba'di) of the Book (El'Kitaabi) and (Wa) disbelieve (Tak'furuuna) in (Bi) part (Ba'din)? Then (Fa) what (Maa) is the requital (Jazaau) of those who (Man) do (Yaf'älu) that (Zaalika) among you (Minkum') if not (illa) disgrace (Jiz'yun) in (Fii) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaati). And (Wa) on the Day of Resurrection (Yaw'mal' Qiyaamati), they will be returned (Yuradduuna) to (ilaa) the severest (Ashaddi) of punishment (El'Äzaabi). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is not (Maa Bi) heedless (Gaafilin) of what (Ämmaa) you do (Ta'maluun).

2:86 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Those are the ones who have traded the hereafter for the worldly life, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be helped.

Those (U'laaika) are the ones who (Ellaziina) have traded (Esh'tarawu) the hereafter (El'Aakhirati) for (Bi) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaata), so (Fa) the punishment (El'Äzaabu) will not (Laa) be lightened for them (Yukhaffafu Än'humu), nor (Walaa) will they (Hum') be helped (Yunsoruun).

2:87 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And We certainly gave Moses the Book and sent messengers after him. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit. So is it whenever a messenger came to you with what your souls did not desire, you became arrogant, and a group you denied and another group you killed?

And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') gave (Aatai'naa) Moses (Muusaa) the Book (El'Kitaaba) and sent (Qaffai'naa Bi) messengers (Er'Rusuli) after him (Min Ba'di-hi). And (Wa) We gave (Aatai'naa) Jesus (Eesaa), the son (Eb'na) of Mary (Mar'yama), proofs (El'Bayyinaati) and (Wa) supported him (Ayyad'naa-hu) with (Bi) the Holy Spirit (2:253) (Ruuhil' Qudusi). So is it (Afa-) whenever (-kullamaa) a messenger (Rasuulun) came to you (Jaa'a-kum') with what (Bimma) your souls (Anfusu-kumu) did not (Laa) desire (Tah'waa), you became arrogant (Es'tak'bar'tum'), and (Fa) a group (Fariiqan) you denied (Kazzab'tum') and (Wa) another group (Fariiqan) you killed (Taq'tuluun)?

2:88 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And they said, "Our hearts are covered."In fact, GOD has cursed them for their disbelief, so rarely do they believe.

And (Wa) they said (Qaalu'), "Our hearts (Quluubu-naa) are covered (Gul'fu)." In fact (Bal), GOD (Ellahu) has cursed them (Laäna-humu) for (Bi) their disbelief (Kuf'ri-him'), so (Fa) rarely (Qaliilan Maa) do they believe (Yu'minuun).

2:89 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when a book from GOD came to them confirming what was with them, although they used to seek for victory before; over those who disbelieved, but when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of GOD is upon the disbelievers.

And (Wa) when (Lammaa) a book (Kitaabun) from GOD (Min' Endi-llahi) came to them (Jaa'a-hum') confirming (Musoddiqun) what (Limaa) was with them (Maähum'), although (Wa) they used to (Kaanu') seek for victory (Yastaf'tihuuna) before (Min Qab'lu); over (Älaa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru'), but (Fa) when (Lammaa) there came to them (Jaa'a-hum) what (Maa) they recognized (Ärafu'), they disbelieved (Kafaru') in it (Bihi); so (Fa) the curse of GOD (La'natu-llahi) is upon (Älaa) the disbelievers (El'Kaafiriin).

2:90 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Wretched is what they traded their souls for; in order to disbelieve out of injustice in what GOD has sent down, that GOD would send down to whomever HE wills among HIS servants from HIS favour. So they incurred wrath upon wrath, and the disbelievers will have a humiliating punishment.

Wretched (Bi'sa) is what (Maa) they traded (Esh'taraw') their souls (Anfusa-hum') for (Bihi); in order to (An) disbelieve (Yak'furu') out of injustice (Bag'yan) in what (Bimaa) GOD has sent down (Anzala-llahu), that (An) GOD (Ellahu) would send down (Yunazzila) to (Älaa) whomever (Man) HE wills (Yashaau) among (Min') HIS servants (Ebaadi-hi) from (Min) HIS favour (Fad'li-hi). So (Fa) they incurred (Baauu Bi) wrath (Gadobin) upon (Älaa) wrath (Gadobin), and (Wa) the disbelievers will have (Lil' Kaafiriina) a humiliating (Muhiin) punishment (Äzaabun).

2:91 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when it is said to them, "Believe in what GOD has sent down, "they say, "We believe in what was revealed to us."And they disbelieve in what is beyond it, while it is the truth confirming what is with them. Say:"Then why did you kill the prophets of GOD before, if you were believers?"

And (Wa) when (Izaa) it is said (Qiila) to them (Lahum'), "Believe (Aaminu') in what (Bimaa) GOD has sent down (Anzala-llahu)," they say (Qaalu'), "We believe (Nu'minu) in what (Bimaa) was revealed to us (Unzila Älai'naa)." And (Wa) they disbelieve (Yak'furuuna) in what (Bimaa) is beyond it (Waraa'ahu), while (Wa) it (Huwa) is the truth (El'Haqqu) confirming (Musoddiqan) what (Limaa) is with them (Maähum'). Say (Qul'): "Then (Fa) why (Lima) did you kill (Taq'tuluuna) the prophets (Anbiyaa'a) of GOD (Ellahi) before (Min Qab'lu), if (In) you were (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin)?"

2:92 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And certainly Moses brought proofs. Yet, you took the calf afterwards, and you were transgressors.

And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') Moses (Muusaa) brought (Jaa'a-kum Bi) proofs (El'Bayyinaati). Yet (Thumma), you took (Ettakhaz'tumu) the calf (El'Ej'la) afterwards (Min Ba'di-hi), and (Wa) you (Antum') were transgressors (Zoalimuun).

2:93 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when We took your covenant and raised the mount above you, "Take what We have given you with strength and listen."They said, "We hear but we disobey."And they implanted the calf into their hearts with their disbelief. Say:"How bad is what your faith suggests you, if you should be believers."

And (Wa) when (Iz') We took (Akhaz'naa) your covenant (Miithaaqa-kum') and raised (Rafa'naa) the mount (Ettuura) above you (Faw'qakumu), "Take (Khuzu') what (Maa) We have given you (p) (Aatai'naa-kum) with (Bi) strength (Quwwatin) and (Wa) listen (Es'mauu')." They said (Qaalu'), "We hear (Sami'naa) but (Wa) we disobey (Äsoi'naa)." And (Wa) they implanted (Ush'ribuu') the calf (El'Ej'la) into (Fii) their hearts (Quluubi-himu) with (Bi) their disbelief (Kuf'ri-him'). Say (Qul'): "How bad (Bi'samaa) is what (Bihi) your faith (iimaanu-kum') suggests you (Ya'muru-kum), if (In) you should be (Kuntum) believers (Mu'miniin)."

2:94 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Say:"If the Home of the hereafter with GOD is for you exclusively other than the people, then wish for death, if you should be truthful."

Say (Qul'): "If (In) the Home (Ed'Daaru) of the hereafter (El'Aakhiratu) with GOD (Endallahi) is (Kaanat') for you (p) (Lakumu) exclusively (Khaalisotan) other than (Min Duuni) the people (En'Naasi), then (Fa) wish for (Tamannawu') death (62:6) (El'Maw'ta), if (In) you should be (Kuntum') truthful (Soadiqiin)."

2:95 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

But they will never ever wish for it, because of what their hands have sent forth. And GOD is aware of the transgressors.

But (Wa) they will never (Lan) ever (Abada) wish for it (Yatammannaw'hu), because of what (Bimaa) their hands (Ai'dii-him') have sent forth (Qaddamat'). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the transgressors (Ez'Zoalimiin).

2:96 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And you will find them the most covetous of people for life, as well as among those who associate others. One of them wishing he could be granted a thousand years of life, but it would not budge him away from the punishment even if he should be granted life. And GOD is cognizant of what they do.

And (Wa) you will (La) find them (Tajidannahum') the most covetous (Ah'raso) of people (En'Naasi) for (Älaa) life (Hayaatin), as well as (Wa) among (Mina) those who (Ellaziina) associate others (Ash'raku'). One of them (Ahadu-hum') wishing (Yawaddu Law') he could be granted a thousand (Al'fa) years (Sanatin) of life (-Yuämmaru), but (Wa) it (Huwa) would not (Maa Bi) budge him (Muzah'zihi-hi) away from (Mina) the punishment (El'Äzaabi) even if (An) he should be granted life (Yuämmara). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is cognizant (Basiiru) of what (Bimaa) they do (Ya'maluun).

2:97 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Say:"Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel; then indeed, he brought it down into your heart by the permission of GOD, confirming what was before it and as guidance and good news for the believers."

Say (Qul'): "Whoever (Man) is (Kaana) an enemy (Äduwwan) to (Li) Gabriel (66:4) (Jib'riila); then (Fa) indeed, he (Innahu) brought it down (16:102) (Nazzala-hu) into (Älaa) your heart (s) (Qal'bi-ka) by (Bi) the permission of GOD (Iz'ni-llahi), confirming (Musoddiqan) what (Limaa) was before it (Bai'na Yadai'hi) and (Wa) as guidance (Hudan) and good news (Bush'raa) for the believers (Lil' Mu'miniin)."

2:98 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Whoever is an enemy to GOD, HIS Angels, HIS messengers, Gabriel and Michael, then indeed, GOD is an enemy to the disbelievers.

Whoever (Man) is (Kaana) an enemy (Äduwwan) to GOD (Lillahi), HIS Angels (Malaaikati-hi), HIS messengers (Rusuli-hi), Gabriel (Jib'riila) and (Wa) Michael (Miikaala), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is an enemy (Äduwwun) to the disbelievers (Lil' Kaafiriin).

2:99 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And We have certainly revealed to you verses as proofs, but none disbelieves in them except the immoral.

And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') revealed (Anzal'naa) to you (s) (ilai'ka) verses (Aayaati) as proofs (Bayyinaatin), but (Wa) none (Maa) disbelieves (Yak'furu) in them (Bihaa) except (illa) the immoral (El'Faasiquun).

2:100 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Or is it whenever they make an agreement a group among them discard it? In fact, most of them do not believe.

Or is it (Awa-) whenever (-kullamaa) they make an agreement (Äähadu' Äh'dan) a group (Fariiqun) among them (Min'hum) discard it (Nabaza-hu)? In fact (Bal'), most of them (Ak'tharu-hum') do not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuun).
