This is the Day of Decisiveness which you have denied.

This (Haaza) is the Day of Decisiveness (77:38) (Yaw'mul' Fas'li) which (-hi) you have (Kuntum) denied (Tukazzibuun Bi-).

Those who transgressed will be assembled with their spouses as well as those they used to worship

Those who (Ellaziina) transgressed (Zolamu') will be assembled (Eh'shuru') with (Wa) their spouses (Az'waaja-hum’) as well as (Wa) those (Wamaa) they used to (Kaanu') worship (Ya'buduun)

besides GOD, for they led them to the path of Hell.

besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi), for (Fa) they led them (Eh'duu-hum) to (ilaa) the path (Siraati) of Hell (El'Jahiim).

"Stop them! Indeed, they must be questioned.”

"Stop them (Waqifuu-hum)! Indeed, they (Innahum) must be questioned (Mas'uuluun).”

“Why do you not help each other?”

“Why do you (Maa Lakum) not (Laa) help each other (Tanaasoruun)?”

In fact, they will be submitting on that day.

In fact (Bal'), they (Humu) will be submitting (Mus'tas'limuun) on that day (El'Yaw'ma).

And they will engage in questioning each other.

And (Wa) they will engage in (Aq'bala Älaa) questioning (Yatasaa'aluun) each other (Ba'du-hum’ Ba'din).

They will say, "Indeed, you used to come to us from the right side."

They will say (Qaaluu'), "Indeed, you (Innakum) used to (Kuntum) come to us (Ta'tuunanaa) from the right side (Änil' Yamiin)."

They will say, "Rather, you were not believers,

They (the Idolized) will say (Qaalu'), "Rather (Bal), you were (Takuunu') not (Lam) believers (Mu'miniin),

we did not have any authority over you; in fact, you were a transgressing people.

we did not have (Maa Kaana Lanaa) any (Min) authority (Sul'toani) over you (Älai'kum); in fact (Bal'), you were (Kuntum) a transgressing (Toagiin) people (Qaw'man).

"So the word of our LORD has been imposed on us. Indeed, we will taste,

"So (Fa) the word (Qaw'lu) of our LORD (Rabbi-naa) has been imposed on us (Haqqa Älai'naa). Indeed (Innaa), we will (La) taste (Zaa’iquuna),

since we misled you; indeed we were misleaders."

since (Fa) we misled you (Ag'wai'naa-kum); indeed (Innaa) we were (Kunnaa) misleaders (Gaawiin)."

And indeed, they will be participating in the punishment on that day.

And (Fa) indeed, they (Innahum) will be participating (Mush'tarikuun) in (Fii) the punishment (El'Äzaabi) on that day (Yaw'maizin).

Indeed, likewise will We deal with the criminals.

Indeed (Inna), likewise (Kazaalika) will We deal with (Naf'älu Bi) the criminals (El'Muj'rimiin).

Indeed, they became arrogant when they were told, "There is no god except the GOD."

Indeed, they (Innahum) became arrogant (Yas'tak'biruun) when (Izaa) they were told (Qiila Lahum), "There is no god (Laa ilaaha) except (illa) the GOD (Ellahu)." (Ch 112)

And they said, "Are we indeed to leave our gods for a crazy poet?"

And (Wa) they said (Yaquuluuna), "Are we indeed (A'inna) to (La) leave (Taarikuu') our gods (Aalihati-naa) for (Li) a crazy (Maj'nuun) poet (Shaaerin)?"

In fact, he has brought the truth and confirmed the messengers.

In fact (Bal'), he (Mohammed) has brought (Jaa'a Bi) the truth (El'Haqqi) and (Wa) confirmed (Soddaqa) the messengers (El'Mur'saliin).

Indeed, you will taste the painful punishment.

Indeed, you (Innakum) will (La) taste (Zaaiqu') the painful (El'Aliim) punishment (El'Äzaabi).

And you will only be requited for what you have done,

And (Wa) you will only (Maa illa) be requited (Tuj'zaw'na) for what (Maa) you have (Kuntum) done (Ta'maluun),

except the sincerely devoted servants of GOD; 1

except (illa) the sincerely devoted (El'Mukh'lasiin) servants of GOD (Ebaada-llahi); 1
