Indeed, We have revealed the Book to you for mankind in truth. So whoever is guided, then it is for his soul; and whoever goes astray, then he only strays against it. And you are not their advocate.

Or do they have intercessors besides GOD? Say:"What if they do not possess anything, nor do they reason?"

Or (Ami) do they have (Ettakhazu') intercessors (10:18) (Shufa'ää'a) besides GOD (Min Duuni-llahi)? Say (Qul'): "What if (Awalaw') they (Kaanu') do not (Laa) possess (Yam'likuuna) anything (Shai'an), nor (Walaa) do they reason (Ya'qiluun)?"

39:44 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Those before them had already said it, but what they used to earn did not avail them.

lest a soul should say, "O my heartbreak over what I neglected in the aspect of GOD and that I was among the mockers."

lest (An) a soul (Naf'sun) should say (Taquula), "O (Yaa) my heartbreak (Has'rataa) over (Älaa) what (Maa) I neglected (Farrattu) in (Fii) the aspect of GOD (Janbi-llahi) and (Wa) that (In) I was (Kuntu) among (Lamina) the mockers (Es'Saakhiriin)."
