through that We will change your likenesses and establish you in what you do not know.

through (Älaa) that (An) We will change (Nubaddila) your likenesses (Am'thaala-kum') and (Wa) establish you (p) (Nunshia-kum') in (Fii) what (Maa) you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuun).

And you certainly know about the first origination, so why do you not take heed?

And (Wa) you certainly (Laqad') know about (Älim'tumu) the first (El'Uulaa) origination (53:47) (En'Nash'ata), so (Fa) why do you not (Law' Laa) take heed (Tazakkaruun)?

So have you seen that which you cultivate?

So (Afa-) have you seen (-rai'tum) that which (Maa) you cultivate (Tah'ruthuun)?

Are you it planters, or are We the Planters?

Are (A-) you (-Antum') it planters (Taz'rauunahu), or (Am') are We (Nah'nu) the Planters (Ez'Zaari’uun)?

If We willed, We could render it debris, then you would remain bantering each other,

If (Law') We willed (Nashaau), We could (La) render it (Jaäl'naa-hu) debris (Hutoaman), then (Fa) you would remain (Zol'tum') bantering each other (Tafakkahuun),

"Indeed, we are in loss.

(saying) "Indeed, we (Innaa) are (La) in loss (Mug'ramuun).

"In fact, we have been deprived."

"In fact (Bal'), we (Nah'nu) have been deprived (Mah'ruumuun)."

So have you seen the water that you drink?

So (Afa-) have you seen (-rai'tumu) the water (El'Maa'a) that (Ellazii) you drink (Tash'rabuun)?

Are you the bringers of it down from the rainy clouds, or are We the Bringers of it down?

Are (A-) you (-Antum') the bringers of it down (Anzal'tumuu-hu) from (Mina) the rainy clouds (El'Muz'ni), or (Am') are We (Nah'nu) the Bringers of it down (El'Munziluun)?

If We willed, We could render it bitter, so why are you not grateful?

If (Law') We willed (Nashaau), We could render it (Jaäl'naa-hu) bitter (Ujaajan), so (Fa) why are you not (Law' Laa) grateful (Tash'kuruun)?

So have you seen the fire that you kindle?

So (Afa-) have you seen (-rai'tumu) the fire (En'Naara) that (Ellatii) you kindle (Tuuruun)?

Did you originate its tree, or are We the Originators?

Did (A-) you (-antum') originate (Ansha'tum') its tree (Shajarata-haa), or (Am') are We (Nah'nu) the Originators (El'Munshiuun)?

We have made it a reminder and a provision for those in need.

We (Nah'nu) have made it (Jaäl'naa-ha) a reminder (Taz'kiratan) and (Wa) a provision (Mataa'än) for those in need (Lil' Muq'wiin).

So glorify with the name of your LORD, the GREAT. 1

So (Fa) glorify (Sabbih') with (Bi) the name (Es'mi) of your LORD (s) (Rabbi-ka), the GREAT (El' Äziim). 1

Therefore I swear by the positions of the stars.

Therefore (Fa) I swear (Laa' Uq'simu) by (Bi) the positions (Mawaaqie) of the stars (En'Nujuum).

And indeed, it is a great oath, if you should know.

And (Wa) indeed, it (Innahu) is (La) a great (Äziim) oath (Qasamun), if (Law') you should know (Ta'lamuuna).

Indeed, it is a noble reading

Indeed, it (Innahu) is (La) a noble (Kariim) reading (Qur'aanun)

in a protected book;

in (Fii) a protected (Mak'nuun) book (writing) (Kitaabin);

none will grasp it except the purified.

none (Laa) will grasp it (Yamassu-hu) except (illa) the purified (El'Mutohharuun). (9:108/ 80:14/ 98:2)

A revelation from the LORD of the worlds.

A revelation (Tanziilun) from (Min) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin). (69:43)
