Al-An'am - Surah 6
165 verses
And HE is the Vanquisher over HIS servants, for HE sends guardian angels over you until when death comes to one of you, Our messengers cause his death, and they do not let loose.
And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the Vanquisher (El'Qaahiru) over (Faw'qa) HIS servants (Ebaadi-hi), for (Wa) HE sends (Yur'silu) guardian angels (Hafazotan) over you (Älai'kum') until (Hattaa) when (Izaa) death (El'Maw'tu) comes (Jaa'a) to one of you (Ahada-kumu), Our messengers (Rusulu-naa) cause his death (Tawaffat'hu), and (Wa) they (Hum') do not (Laa) let loose (Yafarrituun).
Then they are returned to GOD, their guardian the TRUTH. Verily, to HIM belongs the judgement, for HE is the swiftest of reckoners.
Then (Thumma) they are returned (Rudduu') to GOD (ilaallahi), their guardian (master) (Maw'laa-humu) the TRUTH (El' Haqqi). Verily (Ala), to HIM belongs (Lahu) the judgement (El'Huk'mu), for (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the swiftest (As'rau) of reckoners (El'Haasibiin).
Say:"Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and the sea? You invoke HIM, by imploring and in secret, 'Indeed, if HE should rescue us from this, we will be among those who are grateful.'"
Say (Qul'): "Who (Man) rescues you (Yunajjii-kum) from (Min) the darknesses (Zulumaati) of the land (El'Barri) and the sea (Wal' Bah'ri)? You invoke HIM (Tad'uunahu), by imploring (Tadorru'än) and (Wa) in secret (Khuf'yatan), 'Indeed, if (La'in') HE should rescue us (Anjaa-naa) from (Min') this (Haazihi), we will (La) be (Nakuunanna) among (Mina) those who are grateful (Es'Shaakiriin).' "
Say:"GOD rescues you from it and from every distress, yet you associate others."
Say (Quli): "GOD (Ellahu) rescues you (Yunajjii-kum) from it (Min'haa) and from (Wamin) every (Kulli) distress (Kar'bin), yet (Thumma) you (Antum') associate others (idolize) (Tush'rikuun)."
Say:"HE is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your legs or confuse you into sects and make you taste the terror of each other."Look how We have conducted the verses that they might comprehend."
Say (Qul'): "HE (Huwa) is able (El'Qaadiru) to (Älaa An) send (Yab'ätha) punishment (Äzaaban) upon you (Älai'kum) from (Min) above you (Faw'qikum) or (Aw') from (Min) beneath (Tah'ti) your legs (Ar'juli-kum') or confuse you (Yal'bisa-kum') into sects (Shiya'än) and (Wa) make you taste (Yuziiqa) the terror (Ba'sa) of each other (Ba'da-kum Ba'din)." Look (Enzur') how (Kai'fa) We have conducted (Nusorrifu) the verses (El'Aayaati) that they (Laällahum') might comprehend (Yaf'qahuun)."
And your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say:"I am not your advocate."
And (Wa) your people (Qaw'mu-ka) have denied it (Kazzaba Bi-hi) while (Wa) it (Huwa) is the truth (43:78) (El'Haqqu). Say (Qul): "I (Mohammed) am not (Las'tu Bi) your advocate (Wakiil Älai'kum)."
For every news will be settled; and you will find out.
For (Li) every (Kulli) news (Naba'in) will be settled (Mus'taqarrun); and (Wa) you (p) will (Saw'fa) find out (Ta'lamuun).
And when you see those who wage against Our verses, then turn away from them until they engage in another discussion. And if the devil causes you to forget, then do not sit with the transgressing people after the remembrance.
And (Wa) when (Izaa) you see (Ra'ai'ta) those who (Ellaziina) wage (Yakhuuduuna) against (Fii) Our verses (Aayaati-naa), then (Fa) turn away from them (A'rid' Än'hum') until (Hattaa) they engage (Yakhuudu') in (Fii) another (Gai'rihi) discussion (4:140) (Hadiithin). And (Wa) if (Imma) the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) causes you (s) to forget (Yunsiyannaka), then (Fa) do not (Laa) sit (Taq'ud) with (Maä) the transgressing (Ez'Zoalimiin) people (El'Qaw'mi) after (Ba'da) the remembrance (Ez'Zik'raa).
And not upon those who are pious is their reckoning at all, but call to remembrance perhaps they would reverence.
And (Wa) not (Maa Min') upon (Älaa) those who (Ellaziina) are pious (Yattaquuna) is their reckoning (Hisaabi-him) at all (Min Shai'in), but (Walaakin) call to remembrance (-Zik'raa) perhaps they (Laällahum') would reverence (Yattaquun).
And leave those who have taken their religion as play and amusement and whom the worldly life has deluded. And remind by it, lest a soul will scowl at what it earned; it will have no guardian nor intercessor other than GOD, even if it should amend with every amendment, it would not be accepted from it. Those are the ones who will scowl at what they have earned. For them is drinking of magma and a painful punishment for what they used to disbelieve.
And (Wa) leave (Zari) those who (Ellaziina) have taken (Ettakhazu') their religion (Diina-hum') as play (Laeban) and amusement (Lah'wan) and whom (-humu) the worldly (Ed'Dun'ya) life (El'Hayaatu) has deluded (Garrat'-). And (Wa) remind (Zakkir') by it (50:45) (Bihi), lest (An) a soul (Naf'su) will scowl (Tub'sala) at what (Bimaa) it earned (Kasabat'); it will have (Lahaa) no (Lai'sa) guardian (Waliyyun) nor (Walaa) intercessor (Shafii'un) other than GOD (Min Duuni-llahi), even if (Wa In) it should amend (Ta'dil') with every (Kulla) amendment (2:123) (Äd'lin), it would not (Laa) be accepted (Yu'khaz') from it (Min'haa). Those (U'laaika) are the ones who (Ellaziina) will scowl (Ub'silu') at what (Bimaa) they have earned (Kasabu'). For them (Lahum') is drinking (Sharaabun) of (Min') magma (Hamiimin) and (Wa) a painful (Aliimu) punishment (Äzaabun) for what (Bimaa) they used to (Kaanu') disbelieve (Yak'furuun).
Say:"Shall we invoke other than GOD what does not benefit us nor harm us and turn back on our heels after when GOD has guided us? Like one whom the devils had seduced him on earth confused, having comrades invite him to the Guidance, ‘Come to us.’?” “Say:"Indeed, the guidance of GOD is the Guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the LORD of the worlds.
Say (Qul'): "Shall we invoke (A'nad'u') other than GOD (Min Duuni-llahi) what (Maa) does not (Laa) benefit us (Yanfau-naa) nor (Walaa) harm us (Yadurru-naa) and (Wa) turn back (Nuraddu) on (Älaa) our heels (A'qaabi-naa) after (Ba'da) when (Iz') GOD (Ellahu) has guided us (Hadaa-naa)? Like (Ka) one whom (Ellazii) the devils (Es'Shayaatiinu) had seduced him (Es'tah'wat'hu) on earth (Fiil' Ar'di) confused (Hai'raana), having (Lahu) comrades (As'haabun) invite him (Yad'uunahu) to (ilaa) the Guidance (El'Hudaa), ‘Come to us (E'ti-naa).’?” “Say (Qul'): "Indeed (Inna), the guidance of GOD (Hudaa-llahi) is (Huwa) the Guidance (3:73) (El'Hudaa); and (Wa) we have been commanded (Umir'naa) to (Li) submit (Nus'lima) to (Li) the LORD (Rabbi) of the worlds (El'Äälamiin).
"And to establish the Litany and reverence HIM; for HE is the One to whom you will be assembled."
"And (Wa) to (An') establish (Aqiimu') the Litany (Es'Solaata) and reverence HIM (Ettaquu-hu); for (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the One (Ellazii) to whom (ilai'hi) you will be assembled (Tuh'sharuun)."
And HE is the One who created the heavens and the earth in truth. And the day HE will say, "Be, "then it will become; HIS word is the truth. And for HIM is the dominion the day the horn is blown, Knower of the unseen and testimony; and HE is the WISE, the COGNIZANT.
And (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the One who (Ellazii) created (Khalaqa) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do) in truth (Bil' Haqqi). And (Wa) the day (Yaw'ma) HE will say (Yaquulu), "Be (Kun)," then (Fa) it will become (Yakuunu); HIS word (Qaw'lu-hu) is the truth (El'Haqqu). And (Wa) for HIM (Lahu) is the dominion (El'Mul'ku) the day (Yaw'ma) the horn (Es'Suuri) is blown (Yunfakhu Fii), Knower (Äälimu) of the unseen (El'Gai'bi) and (Wa) testimony (Es'Shahaadati); and (Wa) HE (Huwa) is the WISE (El' Hakiimu), the COGNIZANT (El' Khabiir).
And when Abraham said to his father as help, "Do you take idols as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in clear error."
And (Wa) when (Iz') Abraham (Ib'raahiimu) said (Qaala) to (Li) his father (Terah) (Abii-hi) as help (Aazara), "Do you take (A'tattakhizu) idols (As'naaman) as gods (Aalihatan)? Indeed (Innii), I see you (Araa-ka) and (Wa) your people (Qaw'ma-ka) in (Fii) clear (Mubiin) error (Dolaalin)."
And thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth so that he would be of those who are certain.
And (Wa) thus (Kazaalika) did We show (Nurii) Abraham (Ib'rahiima) the kingdom (Malakuuta) of the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'di) so (Wa) that (Li) he would be (Yakuuna) of (Mina) those who are certain (El'Muuqiniin).
And when the night was dark on him, he saw a planet. He said, "This is my lord."And when it disappeared, he said, "I do not like those who disappear."
And (Fa) when (Lammaa) the night (Ellai'lu) was dark on him (Janna Älai'hi), he saw (Ra'aa) a planet (Kaw'kaban). He said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) is my lord (Rabbii)." And (Fa) when (Lammaa) it disappeared (Afala), he said (Qaala), "I do not (Laa') like (Uhibbu) those who disappear (El'Aafiliin)."
And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord."And when it disappeared, he said, "Indeed, if my LORD does not guide me, I will be of the misguided people."
And (Wa) when (Lammaa) he saw (Ra'aa) the moon (El'Qamara) rising (Baazigaan), he said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) is my lord (Rabbii)." And (Fa) when (Lammaa) it disappeared (Afala), he said (Qaala), "Indeed, if (La'in) my LORD (Rabbii) does not (Lam') guide me (Yah'di-nii), I will (La) be (Akuunanna) of (Mina) the misguided (Ed'Doalliin) people (El'Qaw'mi)."
And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is bigger."But when it disappeared, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate.
And (Fa) when (Lammaa) he (Abraham) saw (Ra-aa) the sun (Es'Sham'sa) rising (Baazigatan), he said (Qaala), "This (Haaza) is my lord (Rabbii); this (Haazaa) is bigger (Ak'baru)." But (Fa) when (Lammaa) it disappeared (Afalat'), he said (Qaala), "O (Yaa) my people (Qaw'mi), indeed I (Innii) am free (Bariiun) from what (Mimmaa) you associate (idolize) (Tush'rikuun).
"Indeed, I have directed my aim orthodoxly to the One who created the heavens and the earth, and I am not of the polytheists."
"Indeed, I (Innii) have directed (Wajjah'tu) my aim (attention) (Waj'hiya) orthodoxly (Haniifan) to the One who (Lillazii) created (Fatara) the heavens (Es'Samaawaati) and the earth (Wal' Ar'do), and (Wa) I am (Ana') not (Maa) of (Mina) the polytheists (El'Mush'rikiin)." (16:123)
And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me about GOD while HE has guided me? For I do not fear what you associate with HIM unless my LORD wills something. My LORD encompasses all things in knowledge. Will you then not take heed?
And (Wa) his people (Qaw'mu-hu) argued with him (Haajja-hu). He said (Qaala), "Do you argue with me (A'tuhaajjuu-nii) about GOD (Fiillahi) while (Wa) HE has (Qad') guided me (Hadaani)? For (Wa) I do not (Laa) fear (Akhaafu) what (Maa) you associate with HIM (Tush'rikuuna Bi-hi) unless (illaa An) my LORD (Rabbii) wills (Yashaa'a) something (Shai'an). My LORD (Rabbii) encompasses (Wasiä) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) in knowledge (il'man). Will you then not (Afalaa) take heed (Tatazakkaruun)?
