About what (Ämma) are they asking each other (Yatasaa’aluun)?

Is it about the great news*

that they are disputing?!

that (Ellazii) they (Hum) are disputing (Mukh'talifuun Fiihi)?!

Nay! They will find out.

Nay (Kallaa)! They will find out (Sa Ya'lamuun).

And so, nay! They will find out.

And so (Thumma), nay (Kallaa)! They will find out (Sa Ya'lamuun).

Have We not made the earth a resting place?!

Have We not (Alam') made (Naj'äli) the earth (El'Ar'do) a resting place (Mihaadaa)?!

And the mountains as stakes?!

And (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaala) as stakes (Aw'taadaa)?!

And We created you in pairs?!

And (Wa) We created you (p) (Khalaq'naa-kum) in pairs (Az'waajaa)?!

And We made your sleep a slumber?!

And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) your sleep (Naw'ma-kum) a slumber (Subaataa)?!

And We made the night a covering?!

And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) the night (Ellai'la) a covering (Libaasaa)?!

And We made the daytime for livelihood?!

And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) the daytime (En'Nahaara) for livelihood (Maääshaa)?!

And We constructed above you seven with intensity?!

And (Wa) We constructed (Banai'naa) above you (Faw'qakum’) seven (Sab'ään) with intensity (heavens) (Shidaadaa)?!

And We made a glowing lamp?!

And (Wa) We made (Jaäl'naa) a glowing (Wahhaajaa) lamp (Siraajan)?!

And We sent down water from the compressed clouds, pouring

And (Wa) We sent down (Anzal'naa) water (Maa”an) from (Mina) the compressed clouds (El'Mu'siraati), pouring (Thajjaajaa)

that We may produce grain and vegetation thereby

that (Li) We may produce (Nukh'rija) grain (Habbaan) and (Wa) vegetation (Nabaataa) thereby (Bihi)

as well as undergrowth gardens?!

as well as (Wa) undergrowth (Al'faafaa) gardens (Jannaatin)?!

Indeed, the Day of Decisiveness is an appointed time.

Indeed (Inna), the Day of Decisiveness (44:40) (Yaw'mal' Fas'li) is (Kaana) an appointed time (Miiqaatan).

The day the horn is blown and you will come forth in droves,

The day (Yaw'ma) the horn (Es'Suuri) is blown (Yunfakhu Fii) and (Fa) you will come forth (Ta'tuuna) in droves (Af'waajaa),

and the sky will be opened and will become gates,

and (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaau) will be opened (Futihati) and (Fa) will become (Kaanat') gates (Ab'waabaa),

and the mountains will be dispatched and will become a mirage.

and (Wa) the mountains (El'Jibaalu) will be dispatched (Suyyirati) and (Fa) will become (Kaanat') a mirage (Saraabaa).
