When (Izaa) the sun (Es'Sham'su) have been wrapped up (Kuwwirat')*

and when the stars have become opaque,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the stars (En'Nujuumu) have become opaque (Enkadarat'),

and when the mountains have been dispatched,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the mountains (El'Jibaalu) have been dispatched (Suyyirat'),

and when the inseminations have been suspended,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the inseminations (El'Eshaaru) have been suspended (Uttilat'),

and when the beasts have been gathered,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the beasts (El'Wuhuushu) have been gathered (Hushirat'),

and when the seas have been overflowed,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the seas (El'Bihaaru) have been overflowed (Sujjirat'),

and when the souls have been joined,

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the souls (En'Nufuusu) have been joined (Zuwwijat'),

and when the buried alive has been asked

and (Wa) when (Izaa) the buried alive (f) (El'Maw'uudatu) has been asked (Suilat') (16:59)

for what sin she was killed.

for (Bi) what (Ayyi) sin (Zanbin) she was killed (Qutilat').

And when the pages have been spread out,

And (Wa) when (Izaa) the pages (Es'Suhufu) have been spread out (Nushirat’),

and when the sky has been swept away,

a soul will know what it has brought.

a soul (Naf'sun) will know (Älimat') what (Maa) it has brought (Ah'dorat').

So I swear by the planets

So (Fa) I swear by (Laa' Uq'simu Bi) the planets (El'Khunnas)

gliding in outer space,

gliding (El'Jawaari) in outer space (El'Kunnas),

and the night when it grows dark,

and (Wa) the night (Ellai'li) when (Izaa) it grows dark (Äs'äs),

and the morning when it breathes.

and (Wa) the morning (Es'Sub'hi) when (Izaa) it breathes (Tanaffas).

Indeed, it is the word of an honourable messenger

Indeed, it (Innahu) is (La) the word (Qaw'lu) of an honourable (Kariim) messenger (Rasuulin) (69:40)

possessor of strength, in front of the Possessor of the Firmly Fixed Throne,

possessor (Zii) of strength (Quwwatin), in front of (Enda) the Possessor (Zii) of the Firmly Fixed (Makiin) Throne (El'Är'shi),
