When the sky has split up*

and has listened to its LORD and became hollow,

and when the earth has spread out
and (Wa) when (Izaa) the earth (El'Ar'du) has spread out (Muddat')
and has cast out whatever is therein and relinquished,
and (Wa) has cast out (Al'qat') whatever (Maa) is therein (Fiiha) and (Wa) relinquished (Takhallat'),
and has listened to its LORD and became hollow.
and (Wa) has listened (Azinat’) to (Li) its LORD (Rabbi-ha) and became hollow (Huqqat').
O you human being! Indeed, you are toiling to your LORD, toil and meet HIM.

Thus he will be held accountable with a simple reckoning,

and will turn around to his people, cheering.
and (Wa) will turn around (Yanqalibu) to (ilaa) his people (Ah'li-hi), cheering (Mas'ruuraa).
As for one who is given his record behind his back,
As for (Wa Amma) one who (Man') is given (Uutiya) his record (Kitaaba-hu) behind (Waraa'a) his back (Zoh'ri-hi),
thus he will be invited for destruction
thus (Fa) he will (Saw'fa) be invited (Yad'u') for destruction (Thubuuraa)
and will burn in flames.
and (Wa) will burn (Yas'laa) in flames (Saeeraa).
Indeed, he had been having fun among his people;
Indeed, he (Innahu) had been (Kaana) having fun (Mas'ruuraa) among (Fii) his people (Ah'li-hi);
indeed, he thought that he will never return.
indeed, he (Innahu) thought (Zonna) that (An) he will never (Lan) return (come back) (Yahuur).
Certainly! Indeed, his LORD was cognizant of him.
Certainly (Balaa)! Indeed (Inna), his LORD (Rabba-hu) was cognizant of him (Basiira Bi-hi).
So I swear by the afterglow,
So (Fa) I swear by (Laa' Uq'simu Bi) the afterglow (Es'Shafaq),
and the night and what it loads,
and (Wa) the night (Ellai'li) and what (Wamaa) it loads (Wasaq),
and the moon when it is well-ordered
and (Wa) the moon (El'Qamari) when (Izaa) it is well-ordered (Ettasaq)
that you will be assembled course by course.
that (La) you will be assembled (Tar'kabunna) course (Tobaqaan) by (Än) course (Tobaq).
So why do they not believe?
So (Fa) why do they (Maa Lahum') not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuun)?
