8:41 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And know that whatever you capture of spoils, then indeed, one fifth is for GOD 1 and for the Messenger 2 and for the relatives 3, the orphans 4, the poor people 5 and the wayfarer 6, if you believe in GOD and what We have revealed to Our servant on the Day of the Criterion; the day the two assembles met. And GOD is capable of all things.

And (Wa) know (E'lamuu') that (Annamaa) whatever (Min Shai'in) you capture of spoils (59:7) (Ganim'tum), then (Fa) indeed (Anna), one fifth (Khumusahu) is for GOD 1 (Lillahi) and for (Li) the Messenger 2 (Rasuuli) and for (Li) the relatives 3 (Ziil' Qur'baa), the orphans 4 (El'Yataamaa), the poor people 5 (El'Masaakiini) and the wayfarer 6 (Eb'ni Es'Sabiili), if (In) you (Kuntum') believe (Aamantum) in GOD (Billahi) and what (Wamaa) We have revealed (Anzal'naa) to (Älaa) Our servant (Äb'di-naa) on the Day of the Criterion (25:1) (Yaw'mal' Fur'qaani); the day (Yaw'ma) the two assembles (El'Jam'ääni) met (El’taqaa). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is capable of (Qadiir Älaa) all (Kulli) things (Shai'in).

8:42 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

When you were at lowest side of the shore, and they were at the farthest side of the shore, and the cavalcade was below you. Had you made an appointment, you would have disputed about the appointment; but GOD was to issue a command which was effective so that those who were annihilated would be annihilated by evidence and those who were alive would be alive by evidence. And indeed, GOD is Hearing and Omniscient.

When (Iz') you (Antum) were at (Bi) lowest side (Ed'Dun'yaa) of the shore (El'Ud'wati), and (Wa) they (Hum) were at (Bi) the farthest side (El'Qus'waa) of the shore (El'Ud'wati), and (Wa) the cavalcade (Er'Rak'bu) was below you (As'fala Minkum'). Had (Law') you made an appointment (Tawaa'ädttum'), you would have (La) disputed (Ekh'talaf'tum') about (Fii) the appointment (El'Mii'äädi); but (Walaakin) GOD (Ellahu) was to (Li) issue (Yaq'diya) a command (Am'ran) which was (Kaana) effective (Maf'uulan) so that (Li) those who (Man') were annihilated (Halaka) would be annihilated (Yah'lika) by (Än) evidence (Bayyinatin) and (Wa) those who (Man') were alive (Hayya) would be alive (Yah'yaa) by (Än) evidence (Bayyinatin). And (Wa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is (La) Hearing (Samii'un) and Omniscient (Äliim).

8:43 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

When GOD showed them to you in your dream as few; and Had HE shown them to you as many, you would have failed and would have disputed with each other about the matter, but GOD delivered. Indeed, HE is aware of the essence of the bosoms.

When (Iz') GOD (Ellahu) showed them to you (s) (Yurii-ka-humu) in (Fii) your dream (Manaami-ka) as few (Qaliilan); and (Wa) Had (Law') HE shown them to you (Araa-ka-hum') as many (Kathiiran), you would have (La) failed (Fashil'tum') and (Wa) would have (La) disputed with each other (Tanaaza'tum') about (Fii) the matter (El'Am'ri), but (Walaakinna) GOD (Ellaha) delivered (Sallama). Indeed, HE (Innahu) is aware of (Äliimu Bi) the essence (Zaati) of the bosoms (Es'Suduur).

8:44 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And then HE showed them to you when you met as few in your eyes, and HE lessened you in their eyes so that GOD might issue a command which was effective. For all matters are returned to GOD.

And (Wa) then (Iz') HE showed them to you (p) (Yurii-kumuu-hum') when (Izi) you met (El'taqai'tum') as few (Qaliilan) in (Fii) your eyes (A'yuni-kum'), and HE lessened you (Yuqallilu-kum') in (Fii) their eyes (A'yuni-him') so that (Li) GOD (Ellahu) might issue (Yaq'diya) a command (Am'ran) which was (Kaana) effective (Maf'uulan). For (Wa) all matters (El'Umuur) are returned (Tur'jau) to GOD (ilaallahi).

8:45 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

O you who have believed, when you encounter a party, then be firm and commemorate GOD frequently that you may succeed.

O you (Yaa Ayyuhaa) who (Ellaziina) have believed (Aamanuu'), when (Iza) you encounter (Laqiitum') a party (Fiatan), then (Fa) be firm (Eth'butu') and (Wa) commemorate GOD (Ez'kuru-llaha) frequently (Kathiiran) that you (Laällakum') may succeed (Tuf'lihuun).

8:46 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And obey GOD and HIS messenger, and do not dispute with each other, then you would fail and your spirit would depart; so be patient. Indeed, GOD is with those who are patient.

And (Wa) obey GOD (Atiiu'llaha) and HIS messenger (Rasuula-hu), and do not (Walaa) dispute with each other (4:59) (Tanaazau'), then (Fa) you would fail (Taf'shalu') and your spirit (emotional state) (Riihu-kum') would depart (Taz'haba); so (Wa) be patient (Es'biruu'). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is with (Maä) those who are patient (Es'Soabiriin).

8:47 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And do not be like those who came out of their homes insolently and to be seen by people while repelling from the way of GOD. And GOD is conscious of what they do.

And (Wa) do not (Laa) be (Takuunu') like (Ka) those who (Ellaziina) came out (Kharaju') of (Min) their homes (Diyaari-him') insolently (Batoran) and to be seen by (Ri'aa'a) people (En'Naasi) while (Wa) repelling (Yasudduuna) from (Än) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi). And (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is conscious of (Muhiit) what (Bimaa) they do (Ya'maluun).

8:48 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And when the devil adorned their deeds to them and said, "None can overcome you today among the people, for indeed, I am your neighbour."But when the two parties saw each other, he drew back on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am free from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed, I fear GOD. For GOD is severe in penalty."

And (Wa) when (Iz') the devil (Es'Shai'toanu) adorned (Zayyana) their deeds (A'maala-hum') to them (Lahumu) and said (Qaala), "None (Laa) can overcome you (Gaaliba Lakumu) today (El'Yaw'ma) among (Mina) the people (En'Naasi), for (Wa) indeed, I am (Innii) your neighbour (Jaarun Lakum')." But (Fa) when (Lammaa) the two parties (El'Fi'ataani) saw each other (Taraa'ati), he (the devil) drew back (Nakasa) on (Älaa) his heels (Äqibai'hi) and said (Qaala), "Indeed, I am (Innii) free from you (the disbelievers) (Barii'un Minkum'). Indeed, I (Innii) see (Araa) what (Maa) you do not (Laa) see (Taraw'na); indeed, I (Innii) fear GOD (Akhaafu-llaha). For (Wa) GOD (Ellahu) is severe (Shadiidu) in penalty (El'Eqaab)."

8:49 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Then the hypocrites and those in whose hearts was disease said, "These people are deluded by their religion."But whoever relies on GOD, then indeed, GOD is Almighty and Wise.

Then (Iz') the hypocrites (El'Munaafiquuna) and (Wa) those (Ellaziina) in (Fii) whose hearts (Quluubi-him) was disease (Maradun) said (Yaquulu), "These people (Haa'ulaai) are deluded by (Garra) their religion (Diinu-hum')." But (Wa) whoever (Man) relies (Yatawakkal') on GOD (Älaallahi), then (Fa) indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is Almighty (Äziizun) and Wise (Hakiim).

8:50 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And if you could see when the Angels cause the death of those who disbelieved; slapping their faces and their backs, "Taste the punishment of the Fire,

And (Wa) if (Law') you could see (Taraa) when (Iz') the Angels (El'Malaa’ikatu) cause the death (Yatawaffa) of those who (Ellaziina) disbelieved (Kafaru'); slapping (Yad'ribuuna) their faces (Wujuuha-hum') and their backs (Ad'baara-hum), "Taste (Zuuqu') the punishment (Äzaaba) of the Fire (El'Hariiq),

8:51 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

that is for what your hands have sent forth and that GOD is never unjust to the servants."

that (Zaalika) is for what (Bimaa) your hands (Ai'dii-kum') have sent forth (Qaddamat') and (Wa) that GOD (Annallaha) is never (Lai'sa Bi) unjust (Zollaamin) to the servants (Lil' Äbiid)."

8:52 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Like the habit of the people of Pharaoh as well as those before them; they disbelieved in the signs of GOD, so GOD seized them for their sins. Indeed, GOD is powerful and severe in penalty.

Like (Ka) the habit (Da'bi) of the people (Aali) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) as well as (Wa) those (Ellaziina) before them (Min Qab'li-him'); they disbelieved (Kafaru') in (Bi) the signs of GOD (Aayaati-llahi), so (Fa) GOD (Ellahu) seized them (Akhaza-humu) for (Bi) their sins (Zunuubi-him'). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) is powerful (Qawiyyun) and severe (Shadiidu) in penalty (El'Eqaab).

8:53 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

That is because GOD does not change a blessing which HE has favoured - a people until they change what is in themselves. And moreover, GOD is Hearing and Omniscient.

That (Zaalika) is because (Bi'anna) GOD (Ellaha) does not (Lam' Yaku) change (Mugayyiraan) a blessing (Ni'matan) which (-haa) HE has favoured (An'äma- Älaa) a people (Qaw'min) until (Hattaa) they change (Yugayyiru') what (Maa) is in (Bi) themselves (Anfusi-him'). And (Wa) moreover, GOD (Annallaha) is Hearing (Samiiun) and Omniscient (Äliim).

8:54 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Like the habit of the people of Pharaoh as well as those before them. They denied the signs of their LORD, so We annihilated them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. For they were all transgressors.

Like (Ka) the habit (Da'bi) of the people (Aali) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na) as well as (Wa) those (Ellaziina) before them (Min Qab'li-him'). They denied (Kazzabu' Bi) the signs (Aayaati) of their LORD (Rabbi-him'), so (Fa) We annihilated them (Ah'lak'naa-hum) for (Bi) their sins (Zunuubi-him'), and (Wa) We drowned (Ag'raq'naa) the people (Aala) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na). For (Wa) they were (Kaanu') all (Kullun) transgressors (Zoalimiin).

8:55 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Indeed, the worst of creatures in front of GOD are those who have disbelieved, for they do not believe,

Indeed (Inna), the worst (Sharra) of creatures (Ed'Dawaabbi) in front of GOD (Endallahi) are those who (Ellaziina) have disbelieved (Kafaru'), for (Fa) they (Hum') do not (Laa) believe (Yu'minuun),

8:56 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

the ones with whom you have made an agreement, but they violate their agreement at all times, and they do not reverence.

the ones (Ellaziina) with whom (Min'hum') you (s) have made an agreement (Äähadtta), but (Thumma) they violate (Yanquduuna) their agreement (Äh'da-hum') at (Fii) all (Kulli) times (Marratin), and (Wa) they (Hum') do not (Laa) reverence (Yattaquun).

8:57 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

Therefore if you apprehend them in the war, uproot them for those who will come after them perhaps they will be reminded.

Therefore (Fa) if (Immaa) you (s) apprehend them (Tath'qafannahumm') in (Fii) the war (El'Har'bi), uproot them (Fasharrid' Bi-him) for those who (Man') will come after them (Khal'fahum') perhaps they (Laällahum') will be reminded (Yazzakkaruun).

8:58 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And if you fear betrayal from a people, then throw back to them on equal. Indeed, GOD does not like the traitors.

And (Wa) if (Immaa) you (s) fear (Takhaafanna) betrayal (Khiyaanatan) from (Min) a people (Qaw'min), then (Fa) throw back (Enbiz') to them (ilai'him') on (Älaa) equal (Sawaa'in). Indeed, GOD (Innallaha) does not (Laa) like (Yuhibbu) the traitors (El'Khaa'iniin).

8:59 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And let not those who disbelieve think they have outdone. Indeed, they cannot cause failure.

And (Wa) let not (Laa) those who (Ellaziina) disbelieve (Kafaru') think (Yah'sabanna) they have outdone (Sabaquu'). Indeed, they (Innahum') cannot (Laa) cause failure (Yu'jizuun).

8:60 Shuaib Abdullahi (EN)

And prepare against them whatever you can of strength and of band of horses by which you may frighten the enemy of GOD as well as your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know while GOD knows them. And whatever you disburse in the way of GOD will be repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

And (Wa) prepare (Aeddu') against them (Lahum) whatever (Maa) you can (Es'tata'tum) of (Min) strength (Quwwatin) and of (Min) band (Ribaati) of horses (El'Khai'li) by which (Bihi) you may frighten (Tur'hibuuna) the enemy of GOD (Äduwwa-llahi) as well as (Wa) your enemy (Äduwwa-kum') and others (Aakhariina) besides them (Min Duuni-him') whom you do not (Laa) know (Ta'lamuunahumu) while GOD (Ellahu) knows them (Ya'lamu-hum'). And (Wa) whatever (Maa Min Shai'in) you disburse (Tunfiqu') in (Fii) the way of GOD (Sabiili-llahi) will be repaid (Yuwaffa) to you (ilai'kum'), and you (Antum') will not (Laa) be wronged (Tuz'lamuun).
