الشمس

By the sun* and its forenoon,

By (Wa) the sun (Es'Sham'si)* and (Wa) its forenoon (Duhaa-ha),

and the moon when follows it,

and (Wa) the moon (El'Qamari) when (Izaa) follows it (Talaa-ha),

and the day when reveals it,

and (Wa) the day (En'Nahaari) when (Izaa) reveals it (Jallaa-ha), (92:2)

and the night when covers it,

and (Wa) the night (Ellai'li) when (Izaa) covers it (Yag'shaa-ha), (92:1)

and the sky and what constructs it,

and (Wa) the sky (Es'Samaai) and what (Maa) constructs it (Banaa-ha),

and the earth and what topples it,

and (Wa) the earth (El'Ar'di) and what (Maa) topples it (Tohaa-ha),

and the soul and what organized it

and (Wa) the soul (Naf'sin) and what (Maa) organized it (Sawwaa-ha)

and inspired it with its immorality and its piousness;

and (Fa) inspired it (Al'hama-haa) with its immorality (Fujuura-haa) and (Wa) its piousness (Taq'waa-ha);

whoever purifies it has succeeded,

whoever (Man) purifies it (Zakkaa-ha) has (Qad) succeeded (Af'laha),

and whoever inflicts it has failed.

and (Wa) whoever (Man) inflicts it (Dassaa-ha) has (Qad') failed (Khaaba).

Thamud denied with their transgression,

Thamud (Thamuudu) denied (Kazzabat) with (Bi) their transgression (Tog'waa-haa),

when the most distressed thereof was sent;

when (Izi) the most distressed thereof (Ash'qaa-ha) was sent (En'baätha);

and the messenger of GOD said to them, "It is the she-camel of GOD and its water supply."

and (Fa) the messenger of GOD (Shelah) (Rasuulu-llahi) said to them (Qaala Lahum), "It is the she-camel of GOD (17:59) (Naaqata-llahi) and (Wa) its water supply (Suq'yaa-ha)."

But they denied him and butchered her. So their LORD finished them up for their sin and settled it;

But (Fa) they denied him (Kazzabuu-hu) and (Fa) butchered her (Äqaruu-haa). So (Fa) their LORD (Rabbu-hum) finished them up (Dam'dama Älai'him) for (Bi) their sin (Zanbi-him’) and (Fa) settled it (Sawwaa-ha);

for they did not fear its consequence.

for (Wa) they did not (Laa) fear (Yakhaafu) its consequence (Uq'baa-ha).
